Project proposal outlinel!!

1. The concept:

The project is going to be about a website that promotes for a kind of detective movie. The website displays all information of the film that the audience is interested in with horror and bloodcurdling style. The website consists of many sections such as trailer of the film, about the film, Photos, Music, Contact, behind the scenes. The ‘about the film’ section provides information about the cast, story, and crew. Photos section displays some hot shots through the movie and wallpapers that the viewers can download. Music section contains music tracks that users can listen to them but not be able to download them. Contact section provides the address as well as information about us that audience can get in touch with us. Behind the scene section accommodate the audience with some clips of the process of making movie. In addition, a interactive flash which is related to the film content is also included as a part in the website in order to put an audience’s intelligence to the test. The viewers are supposed to be as investigators.

2. Audience:

The website is for people who are youth from 13 years old and over, or the detective story’s fans such as Sherlock Holmes series movies, or people who are just want to watch for entertainment. However, our targeted clients are big cinemas in Vietnam, such as Galaxy, Diamond, Cinebox, etc. At the beginning, we will sign a contract with them so that they can show the film on their cinemas for 2 month. After that, we will produce DVD to reach a huge number of people as well as we will make VCD to reach more people.

3. Scopes:

The project requires a lots of technique issues. Besides, the skills that we need to have, we also need helps from specialized softwares. The website is going to be built by using Dream weaver. As our team have already studied Webpage programming last semester so that we can use this skill for building the website. Moreover, the theme of website is an important part so the talent of two graphic designers in the group is extremely needs. Both of Adobe Illustrator CS2 combining with Adobe Photoshop CS2 are going to be worked with absolutely. Positively, we will use some plug-ins downloaded from the internet to create more effects. Photography is also a part that is indispensable in our project. We will use some semi-pro and professional cameras to take pictures during the process of recording film. However, the most attractive section in a promoting website of a movie is trailer. In this case, we have both trailer and interactive flash. We use MX Flash software to making the interactive flash; indeed, we must do researches for getting helps for the action scripts that support for the interactive flash in order to make it better. Finally, the last and the most important task that we have to do is to find the actor for the film as well as to repair stuffs for the movie such as the context, settings, backgrounds, sound, etc. Final Cut Pro and iMovie softwares are going to be used for post-production.
